Individual Giving Opportunities

Annual Fund
In making a donation, you may designate your gift to a specific program, service or member organization within the Sisters of Providence Health System. Your unrestricted gift to this area will provide the greatest flexibility to meet our most pressing and immediate needs.

Providence Circle of Giving
This unique giving circle requires a minimum gift of $1,000 per year for 5 years, which helps us to achieve predictable funding in support of our programs and services. You may designate this unrestricted gift to the program and service most important to you.

Grateful Patient Program
If you receive exceptional care from a nurse, phlebotomist or doctor, you may make a donation in their honor here, and there is even an opportunity for you to share your story with us! Go ahead, toot our horn!

Journey of Hope Commemoration Wall

To honor or dedicate to the memory of a loved one, you can purchase a commemorative inscription for $150 or purchase a glass brick for your personalized inscription for $1,000.  The commemoration wall is located at the Sr. Caritas Cancer Center and all proceeds support  the Cancer Center Patient Fund.

Become an Ambassador

Join a number of volunteers who give their time and talent to making a difference in the community by helping  the Sisters of Providence Health System.  There are many opportunities available including helping with Catch the Spirit or at an event.

Annual Events

Each year SPHS hosts special events that raise much-needed funds for our programs and services. Everyone in the community is invited to participate. These include:

Brightside Golf Classic

The Brightside Golf Classic has been one of the largest and most prestigious golf tournaments in the region. Taking place on three major golf courses, funds from this event are generated through individual player’s fees, raffles, a live auction, and sponsorship from local, regional and national businesses. It is a special day where the banking and business community meet to help children and families in our community.  For more information, click here.

Brightside Angels

Each year volunteers, churches and businesses join in the spirit of holiday giving by supporting the Brightside Angel Campaign. Thousands of visitors support Brightside with their purchases of “paper angels” and other products at local churches, O’Connell’s Convenience Plus stores, the Mercy Medical Center Gift Shop and online between Thanksgiving and Christmas. To purchase Angels product, please click here.

Gift of Light

The Gift of Light Program at Mercy Medical Center and Farren Care Center is a special giving opportunity for community members to remember or honor loved ones or dear friends with the purchase of one or more holiday lights at both campuses. Every dollar you give supports and sustains the Cancer Support Groups and Patient Services Fund at Mercy Medical Center which provide comfort and compassion for those who have been affected by cancer. Farren Care Center's Gift of Light Program enhances their residents' programs and services that would not otherwise be possible.

Honor/Memorial Gift

Make a gift in honor or memory of a friend, colleague or loved one that supports the SPHS program, service or member organization that meets your wishes.

Gifts of $50,000 or more may be used to further the mission of SPHS programs, services or member organizations for future generations.

Matching Gifts

Many companies offer gift matching programs. Ask your employer’s human resource or personnel office for details.
